The famous Gouda Cheese Market attracts tourists from around the globe, but this summer there is special attention for the youngest visitors! In addition to the regular Cheese Market, a Children’s Cheese Market takes place during the summer months, aimed at children from Gouda and the youngest visitors from far beyond.
Festive opening
The festive opening on July 10th at 10:00 AM will be performed by alderman Thierry van Vugt, together with the complete children’s council.
The Children’s Cheese Market takes place Behind the Weigh House (de Waag) and is entirely focused on sports, games and – of course – cheese! Children can enjoy themselves with traditional Dutch games, guided by a sporty farmer and the cheese girls. In this way, they experience the rich Gouda cheese story in a playful manner and meet peers from home and abroad.
The Children’s Cheese Market is freely accessible to all children, both from Gouda and young tourists visiting the city. It’s the place to discover, move and taste together during the summer holidays.
